Career exploration in academia

An invited talk (in German) for Bachelor’s and Master’s students in psychology at TU Dresden.

What does it take to explore an academic career, and how do you find out whether it fits you? The talk combined research on students’ career exploration – including our meta-analysis on career exploration and our work on career planning and career-related worry – with practical insights from my own path: from a B.Sc. at TU Dresden via an M.Sc. in Leipzig and a PhD in Groningen to a research group at LMU Munich.
